Did you always dream of being a published author or is this something new for you?
This is something new for me in the past two years. I have had web sites for several years, and was previously successfully in sharing free information on my sites while making a little money selling advertising
Before joining Author Audience Academy, what was your biggest obstacle?
Prior to joining Author Audience Academy, I had never really thought of writing a book at all. So, I guess my obstacle was lack of understanding about where publishing a book could take my business.
What prompted you to become a part of Author Audience Academy? Specifically, what were you looking for?
I was looking for a way to expand my business. I had already researched publishing a book, but with my limited amount of available time the task seemed daunting. I was looking for a group of people on the same path and some basic steps to push through the publishing process.
What has been your biggest “Aha Moment” for you while in the program?
My biggest aha moment was when I went through the steps to publish my kindle book as a print book. I realized that the process was not as difficult as I had built it up to be in my mind. Now, when I publish a new book, I do a kindle version and a print version at the same time.
What would you say to encourage other writers who are currently in Author Audience Academy along their journey? To writers considering becoming members?
Always believe in yourself.
Don’t make things harder than they have to be.
Persevere!
For those thinking about becoming a member – if you are considering publishing a book, it will be the best thing that you ever do for your business. You will find nugget after nugget of gold in the vast layers of information in the academy.
What’s next for you in regards to writing, publishing and marketing your books? What are you dreaming of and moving toward in this upcoming season?
I am working on marketing my current 8 books through regular promotions and Amazon ads, then I plan on publishing two new books this year (2018).
