Are you an author or book marketer with something you’d like to share with our following? We accept guest posts on a case by case basis. Please review the post requirements and submission guidelines before contacting us.
Guest post requirements:
- Must be original content, not previously posted elsewhere – you will retain the rights to your work and can repurpose it later, but we prefer it’s original when it first goes live on our site.
- Must include an author bio (200 words or less) and photo.
- Post must be beneficial to authors and contain stand alone content (cannot force readers to click, buy, share, etc. to get crucial information). You can include your business info in the byline but we prefer the guest post not be promotional in nature.
- We do NOT accept book reviews, excerpts, or promotions of any kind.
- Must contain 500+ words
Submission Guidelines:
We are currently looking for posts on the following, but you can also contact us with your own post ideas:
- Promoting Your Book On Social Media Sites (example1 – example 2)
- Productivity, Organization, and/or Time Saving Tips for Authors (example)
- Creating/Maintaining an Author Website
- Case Studies – If you’ve completed a successful promotion, tracked your exact steps and want to share your results, please let us know. You can see two examples from other authors here and here.
When you contact us, please include the following:
- Pitch for Your Post – not the entire post, just a summary of your idea – roughly 150 words (REQUIRED)
- Your Qualifications – anything related to your post topic that will help us determine your ability to cover the subject adequately
- Estimated Date of Completion – let us know when you would be able to have the post to us. We will ultimately control when it goes live on our blog, but in order for us to plan in advance, we need to know what’s coming in and when. If you are doing a launch that you would like your post to be a part of, you can include that information in your message and we will try to work with you.
