Notes from this episode:
- We walk with you as your guides but God will lead you by the Holy Spirit.
- We will give you the training to learn new skill sets and give you personalized feedback but ultimately you need to hear from God which way to go with your book.
- Some races I’ve run have a lead bike or motorcycle that leads runners on the correct route. It’s very helpful, especially if you’ve never run the course.
- As writers, the Holy Spirit is our lead bike, helping us navigate unfamiliar territory in the process of writing our books.
- Being led by the Spirit means we let go of control. We hand the reins over to God and allow Him to sit in the driver’s seat. Sometimes the only thing He tells us is to buckle up.
- Vision: God gave me a jet – what he can accomplish vs what I can do on my own strength.
- “But Jesus often withdrew to the wilderness for prayer.”- Luke 5:16 NLT
- To truly be led by the Spirit requires an intentional stillness before the Lord.
- God usually won’t compete and yell above the noise in our lives.
- “Attention of the Heart.”- This is an ancient phrase that has been used throughout the centuries in Christian writings. Picture Mary sitting at the feet of Jesus. Being attentive to what God is saying and doing in and around our lives.
- Where is the most peaceful place you can go in order to foster the attention of your heart?
