Last weekend, my husband CJ and I participated in a panel for Indie Author Day at our local library. It was fun to participate and support this movement.
What is an Indie Author?
An indie author is an independently published author. You establish your own publishing company that becomes your imprint and manage the details of the publishing process.
This is what I do and what I teach inside Author Audience Academy.
At Indie Author Day, one of the authors shared a few interesting statistics for indie authors that I thought I would share with you.
The first is the overall trend related to e-book sales.
I want you to notice the trend for indie authors vs. big five publishers (traditionally published books).
The next statistic is the author earnings, what authors actually earn. The trend is similar.
Overall, the stats show that indie authors are doing pretty well when it comes to e-book sales and royalties.

We are approaching the biggest book-buying season of the year from November 15 – January 15.
Are you ready?
Is your book published?
There has truly never been a better time to be an indie author. I invite you to join us inside Author Audience Academy if you are ready to take the next step.
This week, two of my members set up their publishing company and imprint! It is a much easier process than you think and I walk you through all the steps inside my training.
If you already have your book published, what is your marketing plan for the upcoming months?
I encourage you to schedule a power hour, do a brain dump, and start planning and praying! I find that some of my best marketing ideas come when I am praying.
Let’s do this! I’m cheering you on.
