I talk to so many people that want to write a book…someday. In fact, there’s a statistic that says 80% of people want to write a book but not many people actually complete it. My biggest desire for my students and clients is that they get results. That they finish their book. They cross that finish line.
One of the things that you simply need to start doing if you want to write and publish your book is to write. One of the easiest things to start doing is journaling. I’m not a journal person but I have kept a journal at different times in my life. For me, it tends to be when I’m going through a really difficult time emotionally and I need to work out those emotions, but journaling can just be a good way to start writing.
Don’t worry about what you’re writing. Don’t worry about the topic or the tone or the editing or anything like that. Just start writing. The more you do something, the better you get at it.
So, if you want to write a book and you just feel stuck, I encourage you to get out a notebook and start writing. Start writing a journal and write something in it every day. It will start to get you in the flow and then you can move onto other things.
