Wouldn’t you know it, the person in front of me wanted to have their seat all the way back and I had my laptop all the way towards me and squished. Then they just kept moving around and adjusting. I don’t know what was going on. It seemed like they were nervous or something was going on. It was like that the entire flight.
It was less than ideal for me to be reviewing my slides and perfecting my presentation, but I didn’t let it stop me. I just moved my laptop as close as I could to me so it wouldn’t disrupt my laptop, and I proceeded on.
Many times, whether it’s work or whether it’s other things, we may be operating in less than ideal situations.
I want to ask you, are you pushing through those circumstances and doing what you can regardless whether or not it’s the perfect circumstance or the perfect scenario? Because perfect rarely happens, and sometimes life just happens. Things get in the way and we just have to do what we can.
Keep moving forward regardless of whether you have the perfect situation or not.
For me, I ended up really doing well with that presentation. I felt really strong. I felt really prepared. It was because I pushed through those less than ideal circumstances and used that time to prepare regardless of just the uncomfortableness and the things that were happening around me. I encourage you to keep pushing forward in whatever you’re working towards today.
