Over the years, one of the questions I get asked by up-and-coming authors repeatedly is: “How do I sell my eBook from my own website?”
And to be quite honest, there hasn’t been an easy answer until now. Before, you’d have to upload it to a file hosting service (like Amazon S3), choose a third party payment system (such as ClickBank or PayPal), and then load it all onto your website – including any disclaimers or additional information that was required by your payment or hosting service. And then you’d have to create a download page with the download links (and any other required info) and make sure that it was all linked together, working smoothly, and secure. Then you had to offer support for anyone who didn’t understand the process or experienced difficulty. It was possible – just complicated.
That’s why I’m excited to tell you about a new way to sell your PDF eBooks. I started using it with one of my eBooks and love its simplicity. It’s called, “My eBook Master.” They take the entire process and package it into a few quick and simple steps. Here’s how it works…
1. Login to Your Account. Need an account? Sign up here.
2. Click “Create a new book”
3. Enter Your Books Information and Upload Your Cover.
4. Create Your Sales Page (If you’ll be creating a sales page on your website, you can skip this step)
5. Upload Your PDF eBook – They will accept .doc and .docx in addition to PDF files, but we highly recommend uploading in PDF format.
6. Add/Upload Any Bonus Material you want your readers to be able to access with their purchase (i.e. Video/Audio files).
7. Preview Your Book and Grab Your Links. You’ll get three links for your book. One direct buy link, if you’re selling from your own website, you can use this. A link to the sales page on My eBook Master – if you created one. And the last is for free review copies.
