Print On Demand for Selling Physical Products
I talk to a lot of authors who would like to diversify their income by selling products online. And it feels too overwhelming for me.
You have to think about inventory, shipping, customer service, and sales tax. You have to figure out the sales tax stuff for when you file taxes every year. I know what that feels like.
I recently went through the process Broken Crayons Still Color.
I wanted to have some products that I could sell along with my book. So I have mugs, t-shirts, and necklaces. I had different types of products than I’ve never created before.
A print-on-demand company is amazing. It will take the orders, handle customer service, and deal with the inventory. They also fulfill the shipping, deal with returns, and most of them will handle the sales tax, except a few exception.
So the concept is that you can pretty much set it and forget it.
You can set it into your automated system, which I call your Author Automation System. And we’re going to start a new 90-day accountability group inside Author Audience Academy.
This will be all about the Author Automation System. This is part of the system; setting up an automated system so you can set it and forget it. And selling products is one step of the processes that I teach in that system. I will explore more about print-on-demand processes.
So, I would love for you to join us.
Skillshare Classes
I’m also very excited to share with you that I’ve created a series on Skillshare. I’m in love definitely in love with it.
I’ve recently gotten into art, so I signed up just to take all their art classes. Then, out of the blue, I just decided that I wanted to teach on Skillshare as well.
It’s just such a fun platform.
So I decided to create a series on how to create your own hand-drawn coloring page designs. That’s the first class. Then the second class is all about digitizing and vectoring your designs.
Wow, I had to learn a lot on that.
Then my third class in the series is going to be about how to sell that design on mugs, t-shirts, and everything with the print-on-demand company. I’m going to discuss the favorite company I chose. I’m actually working on that class today.
You can take all these classes for just $0.99. Sign up for Skillshare for 3 months for $0.99 and you get all my classes. You also get access to thousands of other classes.
I think I personally have already taken over a hundred. And I love it!
You can sign up at ShelleyHitz.com/SkillShare and get a hold of the new training I’ve created there for you.
Let me know what you think. Leave a comment in the discussion or post your projects in the project area. I’m there to interact and answer your questions.
I’m always excited about teaching on a new platform. I’m excited to help you diversify your income without the stress of taxes, shipping, and inventory.
You can do it without the stress of customer service, and just to be able to add value and something really fun.
The print-on-demand company that I found does magic mugs, which is awesome! They’re the only company I found that does that so that’s so exciting.
I’m just really excited to share more of this training with you. So join me there. Just go to ShelleyHitz.com/SkillShare and sign up.
See you there!
