Notes from this episode:

To complete a full length novel takes a lot of perseverance. In this episode, we’ll be exploring the importance of perseverance in writing and offer valuable insights to help writers stay motivated and focused throughout the novel-writing process.

The Importance of Knowing Your “Why”

What is your why? Really dig deep. Take some time, maybe set 15 minutes on a timer and just start writing it out and just put whatever comes to your mind and just keep going and going. I think you’ll be surprised at what comes out at the end. Understanding your deeper purpose and motivation for writing will sustain you through the inevitable challenges of the creative process.

Building a Supportive Community

The presence of community and accountability is very significant. Whether it’s through virtual writing retreats, productivity parties, or simply connecting with a fellow writer, having a supportive community can keep you on track and provide the encouragement needed to keep moving forward.

Incorporating God in the Writing Process

Ultimately, it’s going to be the grace of God that helps you to finish this book. Incorporate God into every part of your writing, publishing and marketing. Yes, you could grit it out. You could grind it out. You could figure it out, but incorporating God into the process is going to help you cross that finish line. By aligning your creative endeavors with your faith, you can draw on a deeper well of inspiration and perseverance.

Remember, the world is waiting for your book. Your unique voice and story have the power to impact lives and transform hearts.

Keep persevering, dear writers. Here’s to crafting captivating stories that inspire and uplift.
