Today’s topic is: Staying on Mission
People may be very persuasive to try to get us to do what they want us to do. That’s why we need to spend time w/ God alone and hear from Him. He will let us know what our purpose is and which steps to take next.

Mark 1:35-39 and Luke 4:42-44
- “Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray. Later Simon and the others went out to find him. When they found him, they said, “Everyone is looking for you.” But Jesus replied, “We must go onto other towns as well, and I will preach to them, too. That is why I came.” So he traveled throughout the region of Galilee, preaching in the synagogues and casting out demons.” Mark 1:35-39 NLT
- Even when others gave Jesus advice and when the crowds were calling for him, HE KNEW HIS PURPOSE and so stayed on mission.
- People may be very persuasive to try to get us to do what they want us to do. That’s why we need to spend time w/ God alone and hear from Him. He will let us know what our purpose is and which steps to take next.
- Through time with God in prayer and His Word, I know my purpose and stay on a mission no matter what my circumstances are or what people say
