Today’s topic is: Darkness has an Expiration Date
“Nevertheless, that time of darkness and despair will not go on forever…The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine.” – Isaiah 9:1a-2 NLT

Notes from this episode:
- The Christmas season reminds those of us in Christ that darkness has an expiration date. I hope we can all meditate upon passages from scripture like the one above and allow the peace of Jesus to fill every fiber of our being.
- Because Jesus willingly humbled himself and entered the world He created as a baby, grief, loss, despair, and depression are temporary. This life is a breath compared to the eternity we’ll spend with our Savior.
- Yes, death casts a looming shadow for now. 2020 has seemed exceptionally difficult. Death, disease, and disappointment shroud us in apparent darkness.
- But these wonderful words of Jesus have continued to illuminate hearts throughout the ages, including your heart and mine…
“Jesus spoke to the people and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” – John 8:12 NLT
