I love any tool that will save me a lot of time and not break the bank.
And finally, I found a tool that will track ALL my book sales in one place!
Tracking My Book Sales
The last time I added up all my book sales was October of 2014. At the time, we were getting ready to launch our “Sell More Books Challenge” training, and I needed to show proof that I actually sold books.
Well, I painfully went through each KDP excel file one by one and all the Createspace, Smashwords, and ACX reports to get the total number of sales.
It took me days to compile and hours of time I could have spent writing my next book.
As a result, I haven’t added up my book sales again over the last two years.
Well, not until now!
I just found out about a new book sales tracking tool this week, and I’m in love.
www.shelleyhitz.com/booktracker (free 14-day trial, no credit card needed)
I get a small fee if you sign up and become a paid member. But, it’s worth trying for the free 14-day trial just to know how many book sales you have made so far. After the trial, I think it is $0.99 to $9.99 per month depending on how many books you track.
I connected my accounts, added the books I needed to track, and they gave me the statistics I need in minutes! It took me days the last time I did it.
Although I had to go into ACX to get the total number of audiobooks, it wasn’t that hard. That number was easily found at the top right-hand corner of my screen when I logged into my account.
I already asked the developer of this tool, and they are planning to add audiobooks soon!
Unexpected Turn of Events
Since publishing my first book, I’ve sold 172,666 books and have given away 653,467 e-books on Amazon and Smashwords.
Wow!
My first book was published in 2008, and I thought it would simply be a resource to give away at speaking engagements. I had no idea it would turn into a new career as an author and now author coach.
The twists and turns of life!
Well, I need to go and get ready for my live accountability session with Author Audience Academy members today.
However, I wanted to take a moment and share this tool with you because it truly is a huge timesaver.
Check it out here: www.shelleyhitz.com/booktracker (free 14-day trial, no credit card needed)
If you only have 1 or 2 books, you can probably track your sales pretty easily. But, personally, I love having it automated for me. This way I can;
- Know what’s working and what’s not with my book marketing efforts.
- See trends and where to put my efforts (which books are selling the most).
- Plus, what you track, tends to grow.
Have a great Wednesday!
